We recommend downloading the Diffit Chrome Extension to create resources using YouTube Links, and here's how to do this:
With the Diffit Chrome Extension:
- Select a YouTube video
- Click the Diffit logo Get Resources
- Diffit will open to the right and transcribe the video. Enter a prompt to generate a resource.
Without using the Diffit Chrome Extension, you’ll just need to copy and paste the transcript yourself. It’s quick, easy, and keeps you in control of what content gets included.
Here's how to get the transcript from a YouTube video:
- Open the video on YouTube.
-
Under the title, click on “…more” to expand the description.
-
Scroll down and click “Show transcript.”
-
The transcript will appear on the right. Highlight all the text, right-click, and choose Copy.
- Head to Diffit and paste the transcript into the textbox.

From there, you can customize the resource and add what you're teaching to the textbox to generate your resource.
